To Houston

Our next step in the journey will be Houston, Texas. I'm scheduled to have a P.E.T. scan and an ultra sound on Monday, February 1 and then see the Radiologist and the Oncologist on Tuesday. Hopefully all goes well and I will begin my radiation treatments. I need to do the radiation in Houston because they want to aim it exactly where they want it and that's good with me. I am so blessed to have my mother-in-law living in Houston, so I'm going to stay with her. She's 86 and full of life, yet lonely since my father-in-law died last year. It will be good for both of us. I'm really going to miss Billy and the kids. Hopefully we will get together every few weeks. I'll keep you posted and look forward to hearing from you. You all are such a blessing to me.

Finally Done!

Next step, radiation in Houston! My white blood count came back up and I was able to take my last chemo treatment. Now my hair can grow back! Boy, have missed it! (eyebrows and eyelashes included) I'll be in Houston for six and half weeks taking the radiation treatments five days a week. I am so fortunate to have my mother-in-law live there, so I will be staying with her. I'm sure going to miss my family, but thanks to computers and telephones, I'll still be in touch every day.
